Know-How here
The RNA editing has a critical role in superimposing novel/additional genetic information to the
genomically hard-wired transcriptome. The most common type of RNA editing in humans consists in the A-to-I nucleotide conversion within double-stranded RNA molecules catalyzed by the
Adenosine Deaminases that Act on dsRNA (ADARs) family of enzymes.
In our lab we study the impact of the ADAR enzymes in mammalian brain and their role in neuronal cells transformation.
